If you got a good mountain or just know of a good run at any resort post it, and share it with the rest of the tribe.

Re: Always looking for new stomping grounds
Tue, February 8, 2005 - 3:22 PMas far as the east coast goes....
jay peak, located in northern vermont. They usually get more snow then any other area on the east coast and they also get more snow then vail, co, no joke. As far as a trail, nothing specific. Anything in the woods is usually nice fresh powder run on a good day. Jay gets the dumps like no one else because there near the candian border.

Re: Always looking for new stomping grounds
Wed, January 18, 2006 - 1:23 PMI'm going to Jay Peak for the first time this Saturday. I'm looking forward to it!
My favorite places are:
Sugarloaf (ME) and Wildcat Mountain (NH).
They're not as big as Killington, but the trails are fun and the people are generally very friendly and laid back. Killington is pretty good, but it generally feels too crowded and commercialized. -

Wed, January 18, 2006 - 1:27 PMOh, and if you feel inclined to cross the border, Mont Tremblant in Quebec is a good time! The north side is a lot less crowded than the south side. I used to go every year, but I haven't had the chance to go in a while.
